I am currently reading Daniel Veresnaik's book symbols of FREEMASONRY published in 2000 by Assouline Publishing. On page 72 he makes the following statement which peaqued my curisity. "in the eighttteenth century, there also existed a Freemasonry of wood with its own appropraite tool, in particular the axe."
I have not heard of this particular variant of the Craft and would appreciate any leads my brothers would be so kind as to share with me which would direct me to other refrences to this interesting subject.
Fraternally,
