A Tribute to Brother Reynold
Reynold Fajardo, PGM, Grand Sec, Grand Lodge of the Philippines
called to Labor 28Jan06
“… upon your head many times over rested the laurel wreath of victory,
upon your breast hung countless jewels fit to grace the diadem of an eastern potentate…”
but nay more than those honors, you always treasured your lambskin apron….
… “its pure and spotless surface you often remind us of an ever-present reminder of an emblematical or unblemished purity of life and rectitude of conduct, a never-ending argument for nobler deeds, for higher thought, for purer actions and for greater achievements….” You teach us to wear it with pride, our treasured lambskin apron….
As the last grain of sand passed through the portals of your hourglass, as the scythe of time knocked on your door, you welcome the time as a friendly messenger…. as your translator, your ever treasured apron shines brightly to all our eyes…
“How pleasant it is to dwell in the Ark of a well-grounded and well spent life,”
Now then again, you are the road traveling to a foreign yet familiar country where all of our journey must end,
As we all started by knocking and wondering what the Master may decide,
Could it be a tug of Cabletow or hearing the welcome words from the Grand Master Himself up there at High?
We will continue searching for that which we hope to find, and emulate your example and wear our lambskin apron with pride,
The journey might be rough and rugged but that is the way life always has, forever veiled in allegories and illustrated in symbols,
Freemasonry is our life.
