Hello,
Personaly, I never saw a A in the middle of the square and compasses: I think it is always a G in european lodges... and that G is universal in masonry.

Ofcourse we wear gloves during works and i never saw a lodge meeting in Belgium, France or Germany, where the brethren do'nt wear gloves.
